Notes for a Satellaview DAT: 1) Identify; "Download games", "Download Magazines", "Download e-Books(?)" (These seem like "Download Magazines" but behave differently), "Soundlink games". "Data Cart", "Cartridge compatible with BS-X Memory Pack", and "BS-X BIOs". 2) "Japan" region ID is redundant - EVERY game is Japanese unless hacked. 3) Use proper Japanese names. If difficult to figure out, go by a title sequence, a JP name as found on a website, or a JP ROM header name. Have both Romanji and proper JP Spelling. 4) Remove "BS" prefix from any games which do not explicitly have this prefix in their title. 5) gapetto: just the regular, crc md5 sha1 name, some others have more like date licence 6) If applicable (But likely not gonna be due to the lack of clean archival fo this), identify streamed audio sequence that went along with download. Format ideas: (NOTE: Will probably need a different idea for BIOs cart and BS-X Data Cart compatible games.) NAME: [Game Name, see 3] DEVELOPER: [Where applicable] PUBLISHER: [Likely either "Nintendo" or "St. Giga"] HEADER: [Some notes on this, as this is apparently complicated, thanks Gapetto for explaining this better. Info in the Header data: xFB0   = 01 xFB2   = ?, gets compared to 0001 xFC0-xFCF = title xFD0-xFD3 = internal size (32MBit max) retail(demo) games usually have $ffff here(exception bs arnold marvelous). satellaview games use $0f-$ff. add-on maskrom packs use $0000 xFD4-xFD5 = if bit15 set: limited starts. number of starts left is determined by bits 0-14 xFD6      = month [4 bits] xFD7      = day [5 bits] xFD8      = hirom/lorom xFD9      = type. if bit4 is set, 2197.7 is toggled. if bit7 is set, no satellite intro is shown. bits6,5 relate to each other. if only bit5 is set, the rom is copied to psram. xFDA      = maker xFDB      = ? xFDC-xFDD = checksum xFDE-xFDF = inverse checksum depending on the Rom Type (Lorom/Hirom), the header starts at $7fb0/$ffb0 in the rom respectively; unlike normal Snes games, the file checksum excludes the header (because the BS-X cart may rewrite it, for example to decrease the number of times you may start the game) Some ROMs which were not intended to boot on their own, like BS SameGame data carts, may have information missing from their headers. ] DOWNLOAD DATE: [Day/Month/Year. If there is ever difficulty finding this, refer to Broadcast Schedules and the ROM header.] DOWNLOAD TYPE: [See 1] GENRE: [May be influenced by 1; games may have game genres, while magazines may have magazine genres instead] ROM DUMPER: [Where applicable. Express permission to identify the ROM dumper may of course be needed.] GOOD/BAD DUMP: [Will likely be "Unverified" unless ROM dumper is known, with the exception of obvious "Bad dumps".] FILESIZE: [Likely to be 8M/1024kb if a full memory pack dump, otherwise should match internal size in header.] AUDIO: ["ROM" for if the ROM has it's own audio, "BIOs" for if the ROM uses BIOs calls for sound, Name of Radio Broadcast if one goes with the ROM, or for Soundlink ROMs.]
